A wonderful leasing office team and maintenance team. I lived here 4 years without issue. Expressway is not very loud unless you are in the section directly adjacent

I enjoyed the resident appreciation events this week I thought I would share a review about how much I appreciate living here! I love practically everything about my 2 bedrooms apartment. Me and my roommate have been impressed by the staff in the office as well as maintenance. We had a weird electric outage in the middle of the night and when I called the oncall maintenance guy he answered right away and walked me through resetting the breakers....at 1 in the morning! The sidewalks and grassy areas are always nicely kept, as well as the building common areas. Also, ever since I discovered I can use the fitness center any time of day I want I have been turning it up at the gym! Far and above the best place I have ever rented!
My boyfriend and I just renewed our lease with the Hamptons because we love this place so much! The amenities are absolutely amazing! They have a pool open in the summer, a tennis court, 24 fitness room (with decent equipment!), and a roller hockey court. The community is relatively quiet and all of our neighbors are really nice. Our apartment includes a fireplace, which is so cozy in the winter and holiday season. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Unlike other apartments in Ypsi, maintenance is actually attentive and responds quickly to calls. They're also pet friendly, which was really important to us since we weren't about to leave our two fur-balls behind for an apartment. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
We moved here in August and have loved the community! All of the office staff are extremely helpful and sweet. Work orders are fixed generally pretty quickly. The amenities here are nice to have and it is in a great location. It is in a great neighborhood for families. Everyone in our complex is very nice and the apartment quickly turned into home for us.
I am not a fan of writing public reviews, however, in this case I am making an exception because of the outstanding and quick turnaround that I got to my request for maintenance.
I had always written to Michelle, the property manager, who had always attended my requests promptly. This time I emailed her, only to find out that she was no longer the property manager. So, I wrote to the out of office reply email address, only to find out later that my email went directly to the Regional Director, who managed my request himself.
A big thank you to Michael and his maintenance team. This is an outstanding level of service that everyone deserves.
Thank you Hamptons of Cloverlane!
I lived at the Hamptons of Cloverlane from July 2021 to July 2022. I am quite late to making this review, so I apologize for that!
I moved to the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area for graduate school and was thankful to have called the Hamptons home for those 12 months. My apartment, a 2-bed 2-bath Southampton style unit, was very clean and in good order when my roommate and I moved in. I cannot speak for my roommate, but I tried my best to keep it very clean as well. I had two ESA cats who were welcomed by Hamptons management after appropriate documentation review (I work in disability services -- they asked the right questions). Additionally, they don't steal your security deposit, like other apartment companies seem to. I got all but $50 back for mine, but I made sure to take good care of my apartment, make prompt maintenance requests, and ask them questions about what is considered "normal wear and tear" when I was worries about damage.
Like other reviewers, unfortunately, I did have issues getting maintenance requests filled in a timely manner. However, I also want to emphasize that they were extremely short staffed for the number of units in the complex, and finding qualified staff to work specifically on appliances can be challenging. Our garbage disposal broke once, and they fixed it relatively quickly (within two weeks). Additionally, our dishwasher stopped draining properly. They sent a regular maintenance guy out twice to fix it, but the issue remained, so after about a month, an appliance guy from Hayman Corporation (Ray? I don't remember the name) came out to help us and solved the problem. He also took the time to explain to us the issue and what we as tenants could do to keep this from happening again. I appreciated that.
Another slightly negative point is that there are some fees that do not seem entirely necessary or feel like they should be opt-in fees, like valet trash. I 100% understand the administration fees, but valet trash didn't seem entirely necessary for my unit specifically since we could see a dumpster right outside our window. As an accessibility professional though, I do see valet trash being helpful for the elderly and people with disabilities, so I am not knocking it that hard.
Hamptons management were wonderful to work with, especially when I had personal conflicts with my roommate. They gave sound advice within their legal limitations and checked in on me when I came to the clubhouse during and after a period of immense mental turmoil. Michelle took great care when hearing my situation and seemed to care deeply about my wellbeing. Makenzie, Dustin, James, and Michelle all got to know me on a first-name basis very quickly (I used the coffee machine in the clubhouse frequently, haha). I genuinely am so thankful for their help during my whole stay with the Hamptons. I will say, it helps to go to the Clubhouse in person and get to know the humans who work so hard to help us out.
The reasons I decided to move out of the apartment were primarily that, unfortunately, rent got too high for me to manage on my own after my roommate left, and I needed to move to Ann Arbor proper to reduce commuting fatigue as I managed multiple disabilities and graduate school. I still live and work in the area and will definitely consider living at the Hamptons again in the future! I especially loved summers at the Hamptons when the pool was open and when they held Clubhouse events (they held them in the winter too, but I'm less active in the winter).
I've been meaning to stop by and say hi -- just haven't the time.
Also if you play Pokemon Go, the Hamptons and the Pines of Cloverlane have lots of PokeStops -- haha!

Just check before get in a lease contract. The apartments are okay, but there are some other feeds, water and sewer are about $60 a month, the office charge $5.00 a month for “office feeds” Also, you have to pay for a new service they included called “valet trash” $26.00 a month, plus outdoors maintenance $8.00, if you pay the rent with debit card they will charge $30.00 for credit and collection feeds, just add another 95 or 110 to your rent.
They keep the outdoors very clean, and the apartments are nothing fancy but clean and nice, laundry is into the apartment ( its a plus) the staff is very professional and helpful.
The manager and people in this apartment are friendly. I asked for the bathtub and boiler to be repaired and they got them fixed quickly. The carpeting was new when I moved in. I am a single person living here with satisfaction.
