If you're looking for the perfect location with direct access to downtown, the coastal trail, and mid-town; look no further! I have lived at CedarWood since 2011 and am very pleased with the amenities offered. One of the most paramount benefits of CedarWood is that it's a non-smoking building with no exceptions. In my apartment search, I would approximate that 90% of apartments I toured in the greater-Anchorage area allow smoking and it's just not pleasant when your a non-smoker. I also enjoy that the building is secured and both the parking lot and interior common areas are monitored with 24hr video surveillance. Since this is a smaller building with only three floors, I find that it's a quiet and private place to seek refuge after a long day. Additionally, I love the gym an dry sauna that are onsite and free for residents. I was also pleased with the transition from a studio to a larger apartment in the same building. It was a simple and smooth transition with the help of the owner and onsite manager. I have a small dog that loves the location too because we are so close to the coastal trail and Westchester Lagoon, which we frequently enjoy. The location for me is perfect!For being quite centralized, it still feels moderately secluded because it connects with Hillcrest Dr. instead of the Walter J. Hickel Pkwy. Also, the smell of fresh bread from the nearby bakery in the morning is heaven. In summary, CedarWood has been a great place to live for the price, amenities, and location.
