We just moved out of a 2 bedroom, 2 bath 3rd floor apartment (because we bought a house). Maintenance was great and prompt. We had a great view of the Black Hills.The parking lot and building are well lit . And our utilities were pretty decent. We could hear the neighbors talking sometimes, but overall we enjoyed living there for the last 18 months

Cold Drafts through the balcony door. Windy days are the worst because it will get freezing and noisy. Cheap flooring and walls. Had so many complaints from our downstairs neighbors for vacuuming or my cat running around. So if you plan on living here try to get the third floor or else you will probably hear every footstep. I can hear the next door neighbors phone conversation that’s how cheap and thin the walls are. Military gets a pay raise of $50.00 they up their rent $100. But what really made me write a review is the fact we’re the ONLY tenants moving out this month on our floor. So we decided to keep folded boxes in the common area. Behind a railing, where no one should run into them or where it causes a safety or fire hazard. We come home from work early to pack. Allllll of our boxes are gone. And they replied “the common area is not a storage area.” We pay 1,000+ for a small one bed, one bath apartment. And could not of had a text asking to put our moving boxes away? Or a notice of throwing them away….!?

NEVER RENT HERE! Please read if thinking about renting from them!! This is the most awful experience I’ve ever had renting and I’ve rented at more than 5 different places. First off, they approved my dog to be on the lease and I have documentation of that in my lease, then one day I get an email stating that I owe a few thousand dollars in fees for an unauthorized pet. After I stood up for myself and didn’t just let them scam me, they ended up having to drop that because they knew they were in the wrong and trying to take advantage of me. After moving out, I followed everything in my lease and cleaning checklist including getting the carpets professionally cleaned and the owner of the carpet company wrote on the receipt and confirmed over text that everything was in great condition and cleaned up perfect. K and D ended up taking my entire $1245 deposit for that plus a balance of an extra $500 saying they needed to replace ALL of the carpet in my unit along with cleaning fees, a fridge filter replacement that was never in my lease, etc. I took them to small claims just trying to stand up for what was right and they moved it up to a higher court, added counterclaims like attorney fees just to take advantage of me and abuse their money and power against me. I had to drop it because of personal things I was dealing with and they added another $1200 of attorney fees on my account when all their attorney did was send me a letter in the mail. These people are straight up scammers. I did nothing but pay my rent on time every single month, never caused any problems with them or my neighbors and minded my own business. This is clearly a way of doing business for them so don’t be fooled by the reasonable rent prices. Hope they are proud of themselves for taking advantage of a 23 year old girl who is just trying to make ends meet in this terrible economy. Thousands of dollars might not be a lot to them but it is to a lot of people and can really put them in a hard spot financially and mess up their life for a while. But these people will do it with no remorse and go further and further and further until they can’t anymore. Shame on you and we both know what you did was beyond messed up.
