I almost gave Irving Heights 4 stars but the pros far outweigh the cons. I lived there for two and a half years and had a great experience. The location is absolutely PRIME, tons of great places all within walking distance. Located on a quiet street with cement between the floors so I almost never heard my upstairs neighbors. The building is secure with cameras so I always felt safe there. I was renting a two bedroom apartment and I loved the big space. The biggest draw back was the coin laundry, they only have four washers and four dryers for the whole building. The dishwasher was also a little too small. Overall, a really great experience in a really great part of town.

I lived here for almost two years and despite some of the poor reviews, I thought it was a great experience ! The building is out of date and some appliances are outdated too, but they had just replaced the dishwasher and fridge in my apartment so they are definitely upgrading. Bettye and Micheal are great and very friendly. My roommate and I were harassed by a tenant that was obviously not mentally stable and Bettye helped us all the way through until that tenant was kicked out. While the repair staff is quite goofy, they are very friendly, mean well and I never waited more than 2 days for a repair to get done. The community is very nice. I was a college student while living here and although there is definitely an older generation living here that may appear rude, they are all quite friendly and have much to offer when you make an effort to get to know them. On a final note, after moving out, I sent some amazon packages to this address accidentally. Micheal helped me get it returned to sender even though I hadn't been living their for over 4 months. Thanks for being so awesome and I wish the Urban Heights family well.
