We lived at Hilltop for 2.5 years. We were able to save money, while going to school and working fulltime. The staff is professional and the maintenance team is quick to respond and they are all friendly, great people. Most of the tenants are quiet and nice. You may have an occasional noisey neighbor but for the price and quality of the units, it's nice. We will miss living there, many fun memories.

After today, I was absolutely appalled with how I was treated by Owner Michelle Fren Originally, I had heard about Hilltop Garden by a friend because she was looking to rent out the second bedroom in her two bedroom apartment So, I had paid the the $45 application fee & filled out an application. Afterwards, I had followed up with an email to Michelle expressing that I did not have 3-4 current paystubs due to changing to a new job position. I had also expressed to Michelle that my credit score was in the fair range, but due to my new job position & significant amount of money that I have saved, that money would not be an issue Michelle never responded to my email, so I called her earlier this morning and right away, she responded with “this is where my problem is”, and right from there, knew there was going to be conflict on her end During the conversation, I was trying to get better clarification on how I would go about sending her the paystubs if I had just received a new job, and she completely disregarded my question. She began telling me that my friend barely could afford rent, and that I didn’t make enough. And I responded with that I could easily afford what she was looking for and that I was not an irresponsible person. And she proceeded to scold at me with “you don’t make enough” “that’s not how it works”. And I told her that some of these landlords expectations are outrageous for people my age (23) and that not everyone is irresponsible. And she continued scolding at me so I expressed kindly that I was withdrawing myself. She then texted my friend telling her that I didn’t get the room because I couldn’t afford it, which is completely wrong There is a difference between being “rude” and being truthful, Michelle. And you proved your “professionalism”. No business owner looking for business should ever treat people that are interested with as much disrespect as she treated us today. I can only imagine how the tenants feel. I do not recommend anyone to do business with Michelle Fren
