I have lived here for the last 2 years and it's a great place to live. The apartments are clean, never had any bug issues, management and maintenance here is very quick to respond to any problems. I would recommend these apartments to anyone as they are probably one of these nicest apartments complexes in Midland!

The ashtray in front of the building is overflowing and has been for over a month. There are bats in the laundry room. Our kitchen sink is leaking in two different places, ruining the counters. The upstairs neighbor had something leaking that seems to have made it into our bathroom. Maintenance is aware of all these issues and have made it clear they do not plan on assisting with them. Also, nobody can ever find the office manager during office hours. It is as if she only comes in when she feels like it. I would understand if she was at the complex assisting renters, but her car will be gone from the premises. We have even seen her shopping in public during the hours she should be at the office. I am astounded by how Heritage Arms is being run. We have a five year old child, and we are beginning to have concerns for his well being.

I would just like to take a second to warn renters regarding Heritage Arms Apartment. I lived there peacefully until the old, decrypted building became infested with lady bugs, black bugs, and other insects. I told management about the problem multiple times however, the pest problem was never solved! I finally got so fed up, I collected the bugs in glass jars just to show them what was residing within their walls. Management gave me the ring around many times, telling me to be patient and that it was a problem in Midland, not their complex. Finally, after months and months of complaining, management did eventually end up calling a pest control company, Rose Pest Solutions. When Rose Pest Solutions came to inspect my unit the lady was extremely rude and kicked me out of my own unit! She then told management I didn’t comply because my windows were open however, in the prepatory checklist which was given by Rose Pest Solutions, it was never stated that windows must be closed. As the pest inspector left my unit I overheard her tell the matainace man of Heritage Arms, “ that the place was infested.” After overhearing this news, I immediately contacted management and was advised to keep the bug news quiet in the Heritage Arms Community. Days later, Rose Pest Solutions entombed the Unit directly above me. After seeing this, I once again spoke with management, and was told that nothing was wrong with my unit!! At this point, I was so disheartened that management would not fix the problem in my unit. To make matters worse the unit across and below me were treated. Due to the fact that my unit was neglected and never had plans to get fix, I moved out. Everyday I would find bugs everywhere, in the laundry room, in the hallways, by the mailboxes,in the units, and in the managers office. I am still extremely disheartened because I paid Heritage Arms thousands of dollars to live in a bug infested apartment. The management will also defend their pest problem by saying it is a Midland County issue. When looking for other residence in Midland, I asked if they ever had problems with ladybugs, or any other type of bugs, and the people looked at me like I was crazy. I would NEVER recommend this place, not even to my worst enemy. I still suffer from the horrible flashbacks of the bugs and living conditions Heritage Arms provided. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone who is remotely freighted by bugs. I would also like to warn future or current renters that thieves do reside in the complex. I had many things stolen from me in community laundry room. I lost about $400 worth of property from the community laundry room. All in all, this place is not a comfortable place to live. I would definitely take your $600-900 per month and go elsewhere!
