Pine Terrace is SUCH A GREAT VALUE and is in the best school district in Lawton! My apartment is a really good size and my rent is cheap! The place is recently renovated, with new appliances, including a dishwasher. There is a separate dining area, tons of closet space, and ceiling fans too. Management staff is courteous and if something breaks, they'll fix it right away. I'm happy that they allow dogs and that there is a pool.

I've removed my previous review due to the apartment complex recently being sold to a new out of state company. As of right now, there are no new issues with the apartment and the new staff has been treating residents well. Though the offices don't have set hours and I still think the laundry room is over priced, I am hopeful that the new owners can make this place a good place to live.

This apartment complex was nice when we first moved in. Our two-bedroom was small, but the managers took care of the property, and rent was really fair. It's in an excellent location. Things changed around December 2022. We were finally next on the waitlist to upgrade to a three-bedroom; However, it was in horrid condition. It had roaches, a gross bathtub that wouldn't drain, and paint splatters all over the floor, as if they didn't lay tarp. The master bedroom was missing blinds. The property manager, who had been good to us in years prior, was in the process of leaving. By then, she was "checked out." She sent someone to fix the tub, but that was it. She refused to repair the blinds or floor. She said they did bomb for the roaches before we moved in and to give it time. Fair. The new landlords took over soon after: Pro Residential Services. It's an agency based in California. Things were quiet for a while--un-ideal due to the apartment's condition but livable. Our rent stayed $675 until the end of our lease term. The roaches went away over time. We used blackout curtains to cover the blinds they wouldn't replace. The paint on the floor was not visually appealing, but it wasn't hurting us. By the time we moved out, they were discussing raising the rent to the $800-$900 range. Given the condition of the complex--and no signs of improvement to come--this was insane: If you charge $900 for an apartment worth $900, it's fair. If you charge $900 for an apartment worth $500, it's bonkers. Our neighbors started moving out, and we soon followed. // Skip to now. We haven't heard from Pine Terrace in over a year. Today, we got a letter from a debt collector, and it was because--despite never alerting us--the new owners quietly charged us for all the damages that were present prior to when we moved in. Remember: We expressed our concerns about these damages to the landlord quite early on, and nothing was done. We have emailed Pro Residential Services and the collections agency to contest it, but I'm still feeling so indignant about this that I had to write this review. It is infuriating that a company from an entirely different state would buy up our property and charge double the rent while letting the property continue to rot. I hope for the sake of the current tenants that they're taking better care of it now. Still, when I drive by it occasionally, it looks just as bad as it was when we left.
