Great location: A short walk from the beach, but yet off the beaten path; a small apartment complex with quiet surroundings and very little thru traffic. Supportive staff and well maintained facilities.

I DO NOT recommend leasing anything from this company. I leased an apartment for 3 years from them and was never once late on my rent. I caused no problems and never had any problems with actual property manager. I even upgraded to a two bedroom about a year and a half into my stay. Upon moving out, of course I cleaned the entire apartment out from top to bottom. In my opinion everything was really clean, just as I got the place. Then I moved and then just waited on my security deposit to arrive for about 2 months, but it never came. I called and spoke with property manager and was told that when I left I forgot to clean the oven. I agreed that maybe I did in fact forget that and apologized. Then I was told that it was not that dirty, that she did not even need to tell Frank the OWNER about it. Then she said she would find out about my security deposit and remind him to send it. I waited another month and finally got a call from Frank. Right off the bat, he was very rude and told me I was not getting my deposit, his reason was that when I switch from the one bedroom apartment to the bigger two room one. That the first apartment was left with thumbtack holes in the walls from hanging something. I said sorry and I understand that it might be true, I do not really remember. But I was never told about this until now and was never shown a receipt or a letter stating these facts ever, and not now for the oven either. So for those reasons he was keeping my entire security deposit. This is impossibly ridiculous and I explained to him that this was unreasonable. If he wants me to pay for the oven cleaning and thumbtack repair, that is fine. But there is no way it would cost that much. He was very disrespectful and told me he was just keeping it, I replied that I would have to take him to small claims court, he laughed and THREATENED me THAT HE WOULD RUIN MY CREDIT IF I DID, he said he would file and say that I owed him more money for the cleaning/repair in the apartments and I refused to pay him. Are you kidding me, this is unfair and against the law. The sad part is that I don't even know what I can do about it other than take him to small claims court.
