I moved to Steeplechase Village 2 weeks ago. 1. Skyler Silverman- the maintenance man- absolutely wonderful. There have been some things here and there that needed attention, that must've just been overlooked when getting the apartment ready for move in, and he has went above and beyond to fix things for us. He is super friendly and hard working. Idk what they're paying him, but it should double. 2. I dealt with Jamie Russ from start to finish with getting this apartment. I feel as though she did the best she could and went above and beyond finding my little family a better apartment than I even thought I could afford. She is such a kind hearted woman, and I am so happy that she was there to help me, regardless of me being a pain. I probably would've blocked my number if I were her, but she was so nice and got things taken care of better than I had hoped. I can not thank her enough. 3. I'm not going to lie. The move-in process was messy. Mostly because I changed my mind and tried to move to Powell instead of here and when that fell through, I was in a full on panic trying to get into an apartment a week before school started. I was definitely a nightmare for the already short-staffed office with my impatience. The staffing issues are "being addressed", and I hope to see some new faces in there, to give the 2 wonderful women working in there a helping hand. I can't imagine having to handle over 400 units with just 2 people. 4. However, if you can push through the initial issues with that, and be PATIENT, this is a lovely place to live. It is quiet, and cute. There is so much space outside for the kids to play. It is very pet friendly and feels like a nice little neighborhood. The buildings are spread out from each other, so it is not that super congested, stacked up apartment feel like most apartment complexes. My apartment is not fancy by any means- I got the "classic" so that is expected as it is not updated. If you want super sleek, fancy shmancy, shiny new- then go somewhere else and pay $1600 for a 2 bedroom.. There's some potholes here and some paint drips on the trim, but for the price, this is perfect. I am so glad things fell through with the other apartment complexes I was looking into. We feel at home here.
