This was a 5 star review under AAA Properties. I absolutely loved having them as landlords. Unfortunately, in December, Greenlight bought this property and they were such a pain that I spent over $3,000 to move between deposits, moving costs, and new appliances I had to buy. But it was worth it to be away from Greenlight. In December they said hello by talking about an eviction policy that they later changed, but they gave us this notice on the first of December (Friday), telling us we had 4 days to pay or they start the eviction process, the fourth day was Monday. They hadn't yet given us a way to pay the rent online and didn't answer calls that Friday or during the weekend. On Monday when I finally got ahold of someone, the lady tried to gaslight me into believing she spoke to me on Friday despite me having a 3 day long panic attack thinking I'd have an eviction on my record. I even put in applications at other apartments because of how worried I was. So we finally talk, she tells me I can pay that day and they'll wave the late fee since it's their fault. The following Wednesday, I get a text from them saying I still owe money for the late fee. I immediately call and have to get confirmation that I didn't need to pay it. So now they've been in charge less than a week and I'd been threatened twice, once with an eviction and once with a late fee. So of course, I ask during this call if they plan to jack up the rent and was wondering if this was a way to get rid of old tenants. She says no, they have no plans to increase rent. Then comes February, less than 3 months later and I begin getting emails that they're increasing rent by over $100. These people are clearly untrustworthy, slimy, scumbags who don't deserve a business. I'm only posting this now, after I've been moved out further than 30 days because they forgot to contact me about my fix it bill during that time and haven't contacted me in any form about my apartment's deposit. I expected them to find nonsense reasons to try and charge me an outlandish fee, so I'm fine with just losing the deposit completely with no explanation. I promise you, you can find a better place to rent from. Do not go here. And in case you're still on the fence, upon my leaving, they suggested hiring a cleaning crew that would have cost me almost $600. They also wanted to charge me over $250 for shutting off the utilities before the last day of my contract. Do not, under any circumstances, rent from these absolute scumbags.
