1 BR available in a really lovely 2-bedroom/1 bath house in the University District, about 7 blocks south of campus. I've been living there since June, and my summer roommates will be vacating the bedroom in mid to late August. A bit about the house: The owners are private landlords, and are former faculty at the U. The house is fairly large, and I occupy the main level. The upper floor is a small 1-bedroom apartment, occupied by a very nice woman, and there is also a small studio apartment in the basement, occupied by a similarly nice man. Both the upper and lower 'apartments' have separate side entrances, and I virtually never see them--it's a bit like living in a small apartment building. There is a washing machine in the basement, which all tenants technically share, but I'm generally the only one who uses it. (We use a backyard laundry line in the summer, and laundry lines in the boiler room during winter.) The main level has a large sunny living room, dining room, and kitchen, as well as a smaller room which we've been using as an office/guest room, in addition to the two bedrooms. Your bedroom will be largely unfurnished, although there is a possibility of utilizing some furniture that the landlords left in the garage. There is only one bathroom, but that hasn't posed any problems thus far. We also have a really lovely backyard with several raised garden beds, fruit trees, raspberry bushes, and a chicken run/chicken coop--it has been exploding all summer with fruits and vegetables, and is one of my favorite parts about the house! No chickens as yet, but if you're willing to split responsibilities for caring for chickens, I'd love to get some. Rent is $575/month per person, which includes utilities and wifi--a total steal. A bit about me/what I'm looking for: I work at the University full-time, am a 28 y/o female, and am looking for similarly-aged folks. (No undergraduates or lower twenties, please.) Grad/PhD students would be ideal, especially given our proximity to campus/move-in date, but really any young professional in the realm of 25-35 works! I simply ask that you be gainfully employed, able to provide references, and be a (fairly) clean, respectful, laidback individual. When I'm not working I am generally tending to the garden, running, going on hikes, grabbing beers with friends, reading, or going to shows! I'm fairly new to Missoula, having just moved here in December from California, so would love to be able to pal around with a roommate occasionally/cook dinner together/etc. Finally, I have two 10 month-old kittens (both girls), so no cat allergies/haters, please. The landlords are willing to accommodate one more cat, but no dogs--sorry :( Thanks for reading, all--I look forward to hearing from you! -Natalie
