Originally owned by the mayor of Atchison Mayor Finney in the early 1900's, this home features rustic oak woodwork, a staircase, and stained glass windows that provide a sunny mosaic come late summer. This home has also been extensively remodeled in the last year. There is all new flooring, heating system and paint. The roof has been professionally repaired and the window and chimney flashings redone. County property taxes have been rebated (no taxes until remodeling costs have been accounted for. Rebated amount is over $25,000.) All windows are double pane, energy efficient. A spare room has been converted to a bedroom, making this a true four bedroom home. There are two full bathrooms, a laundry room on the main floor, and an updated kitchen. Three quarters of the basement has a 10-foot ceiling clearance. This home was built in 1902 and expanded several times. The electrical system has been updated to 200 amps with circuit breakers. Current finished area is 2042 square feet with an unfinished basement area of about 1050 square feet.
