Share our owner-built (quirky) single-family geodesic dome (nickname: Dome Asylum) built in 1986, located in a quiet (except for roosters and dogs) rural neighborhood on a dirt road just over a mile away from the shops and restaurants of ‘Old Town’ Ramona. The Dome Asylum has a retreat-like vibe with mature cactus gardens and permaculture ideas expressed throughout the 1+ acre property. Housemates: We’re a (recently) married couple in our early 50s, both self-employed. We own and operate welding and carriage rental businesses. He’s a welder/fabricator from San Diego County who works out of a shop in town. She’s a musician (jazz voice), martial artist (traditional TKD) and entrepreneur from NYC who works from her home office, located in the loft area of the house. They are both artists who enjoy nature. He especially loves the desert, and she loves the beach. We generally keep a regular work schedule (M-F), wake between 6-7am and go to bed between 9-10pm. The Dome Asylum is cannabis friendly. Tobacco smoking is allowed outside. It’s also a great place to entertain. Gatherings or events must be discussed with all housemates. Housemates are allowed to have overnight guests with limitations. Pets: We have plans to add an outside dog (yours?) to our barn cats, El Macho Nacho Libre and Pretty Kitty Katniss. We also plan on new chicks for our chicken tractor in the Spring, meaning Dome-grown eggs come Fall! Seeking: Professional, responsible, willing to help with maintenance of common areas Must have 600+ credit score and clean rental history $1200/mo. incl. utilities (electric, gas, trash, water, & WiFi) (Un)finished first floor bedroom with closet and garden view concrete floors throughout detached bathroom Central Air/Heat (set to SDGE guidelines) Shared parking Shared common areas: Living Room, Dining Area, Kitchen, Patio Converted Pool - Swimming Pond Washer and Dryer on-site (washer out of service atm) Gardens Storage (avail soon)
