About 3657 W 24th Ave
I'm looking for a new housemate starting this summer to occupy one room in a bright, homey, two bedroom basement suite apartment in Dunbar. Flexible dates. The suite is fairly new, well-maintained with full kitchen (including a dishwasher! That really works!), laundry (that you don't have to pay for or go outside to get to!) and a small porch. The available room is pictured and comes unfurnished. It's large enough for a queen-sized bed and includes some built-in storage. Your half of the rent would be $800/mo including utilities, plus a security deposit of $400. I'm a clean, quiet, queer-friendly, 30 year old grad student at UBC, and I've lived here for the last three years. I like to cook, grow ferns on the porch, play the piano (with headphones!), and go swing dancing. Good grocery stores, banks and BC Liquor are all 5-10 mins walk away. UBC is 15 - 20 mins on the #25, and the #7 gets you to Kits and Downtown. The landlords live upstairs and fix things promptly. Preference will be given to applicants looking for a year lease, but people looking for a summer stay are also welcome. The lease is heldheld jointly with myself. If you sign a year lease, it automatically renews becomes month-to-month after 1 year unless we give notice. Two references will be required.
