This apartment is Unit D, facing East on the 2nd floor in Skylight Lofts, in downtown Urbana, Ohio. This historic 3-story Victorian brick building has just been renovated so that its large skylights and available lighting from huge exterior and interior windows has been kept. All 150-year old woodwork and original doors have been preserved, as well as open common areas in the middle of the second and third floors. Living spaces have been upgraded to energy efficient exterior windows and AC/heat pump mini-splits in all rooms, and brand new all electric stainless steel appliances. 12 foot high ceilings and original wood floors have been refinished in living areas. This unit has the only bathroom in the building that still features its original cast iron claw foot tub, newly refinished with added shower ring and new fixtures. Advanced fire suppression and alarm systems are throughout the structure for resident safety and peace of mind. The two-room suites are usable as live/work studios or 2-bedroom living quarters. The second room has a separate interior entrance from the common areas that can provide a separate business space if desired. Dedicated parking spaces are available for lease at the local grocery store one block away. Downtown creative Urbana is booming with newly established coffee shops, many restaurants, entertainment venues and unique stores. Walk-ability is rated at 85/100, and Bike-ability at 75/100.
