About 149 Burk St
We are offering a large furnished attic floor/ bedroom that is available to rent for $800/month, starting on January 20th. A microwave oven, stove, or a hotplate is not allowed because it is against the Durham Region Fire Department fire code for a room rental. Included in the monthly rental fee is a fridge, WIFI, Cable TV, ample space to hang up and store your clothes, and your own private bathroom with a shower, so you don’t have to share it with a complete stranger! (gross!) Newly purchased bedding and bath towels, can also be provided if needed. Utilities (water usage and electric) are also included in the rent. The attic is air conditioned also. Your rent also includes the use of the laundry room and a shared kitchen on the main floor, and one parking spot on our wide driveway.( no moving of cars to get out of the driveway like other rentals do) The attic unit has a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector for your safety. No storage is allowed in the garage. Tenant cannot smoke/vape on the property or cook/warm up fish because the landlord is allergic to them. The entrance to the bedroom is through the house. The house is located within walking distance to The Oshawa Center Mall, Real Canadian Superstore, (Gibb and Stevenson location) Canadian Tire, 24 Hour Shoppers Drug Mart, Public transit is close to the house for access to Ontario Tech University, Durham College. Tenant needs to submit to a background check, references, proof of employment or other income. First and last month’s rent is required before moving in.
