Looking for ONE awesome roommate to live in a 2 bedroom unit by Commercial Drive (2 blocks from Grandview park) The space is available ANYTIME in Sep/Oct or Nov 01 Rent is $1000 all inclusive. The room is cute, and, has a little crawl space opposite the bed. It's medium sized and can come with a mattress/frame. It can also be unfurnished. The area: -Commercial drive is a great area: nice restaurants/safe neighborhood -Close to bus stops -15 minute walk to skytrain -Easy to meet East Van friends The space: -Private room sharing the communal space with ONE person only (less mess/human drama) -Singles only (no couples or pets) -Better suited for those with a minimal volume of items as kitchen and living room is furnished -Bathroom is shared (and, clean) -Chill home intended for working, reflection, sleep and creative pursuits -Not a party house: healthy and welcoming home -Guests welcome in moderation and in communication with each other -Unfortunately, no laundry/communal storage, however there are lots of laundromats nearby and one is 5 minutes away on foot (errands done while laundry going!) What I am Looking For: -Someone who is open to a trial period (2/3months) to see if we fit. If we match, rental would continue until Apr 01 (2026) or longer/indefinitely (Ideally looking for long-term) -Living with someone between the ages of 24-45 -Must be a working professional or student with a somewhat, defined schedule -If working from home, no more than 1/2 days each week -If you drink alcohol, consumption in moderation/balance -3 references required -Someone respectful, considerate, takes care of themselves and has a balanced routine The communal space is furnished so the room is best suited for an individual who doesn't have an exuberant amount of items. The room fits someone who wants simplicity and is comfortable with the home already materially arranged. Someone who is easy-going as the unit is already setup. The vibe here is chill, structured yet easy-going. Looking for someone who is I feel that a home is meant to be a place of safety, decompression, a place to unwind and be who you need to be especially as life situations outside the home can often present challenges. It's really important to be able to have a roommate that is reasonable, mature, communicates and is interested in creating peace in the home. I'm a woman in my late 30's, my schedule can vary between full/part-time however I'm very active and maintain a balanced schedule. I enjoy cooking and value a clean and functional kitchen. I also love electronic music so the person I live with has to be okay with this playing occasionally. (I play music within respectful hours.)
