Hello, I am currently looking for a roommate to share my two-bedroom Burbank apartment, beginning February 1st (move-in date flexible). Currently, I'm giving preference to potential part-time occupants or someone who travels frequently (or is looking for a centralized Los Angeles residence as their secondary). Rent is negotiable for this reason. I will consider full-time roommates but preference goes to those occupying this room part-time. Location: A gorgeous 1940's 4-plex unit on the 2nd floor with bay windows, built-ins, hardwood floors and a lot of vintage charm. Located quite literally next door to Warner Bros. Studios, a two minute, straight shot drive to Disney Studios and a five minute drive to Griffith Park hiking. Located at the eastern end of Barham Blvd so less than ten minutes from Hollywood and twenty from Downtown. Neighborhood is Toluca Lake (though technically in Burbank city limits) and it very walkable with multiple grocery, bars and restaurants in the immediate area. The 101, 134 and 170 freeways are all just blocks away. I don't care about drinking/soft drug stuff but must be respectful and considerate of shared space, noise, etc. No smoking. Female preferred but I'm happy to have any sane, respectful and currently employed person as my roommate! Room: is the larger of the two and just larger than 12' by 9' with closet space within. Huge windows facing back/yard area - good natural light with hardwood floors (1st two photos in ad, will be unfurnished). Outside the room is a separate entrance to the apartment. There is a good amount of additional closet space throughout the apt that you are welcome to as well. Me: I work for DreamWorks Animation and have lived in this neighborhood and Portland, OR for most of my life. I'm 34, an artist, and spend a great deal of time reading, hiking, vintage shopping and making art. Would love another artist or creative for a roommate. Requirements: Rent for a full-time occupant is $800 or $850 which would include a one-car parking space in a shared, secured garage. Rent would be greatly reduced for part-time and travelling tenants so please let me know if this applies to you. Street parking is available (or garage at extra cost). Apartment has WiFi. Unfortunately, no pets allowed. Will need to provide proof of income for property manager. Deposit will be due to exiting tenant. Utilities will be split. I believe they average $100 a month but may increase during warmer months. The best method for contact between 8am - 6pm is via email, text is best after that. Please DO NOT call me, especially during work hours. While it is still occupied, it is available to show by appointment. Due to a high volume of texts and emails, I request that you PLEASE include something about yourself (name, work etc), as it helps me keep track of who to get back to and filter out who's actually interested in the space.
